Merrick Pierson Smela, age 9, helps out with restoration work on a
Sierra Club service outing in March, 2006. The North Star Chapter
recently assisted other groups to help save 8.5 acres of open
space at this historic site on Pilot Knob in Mendota Heights, MN.
