Chapter 33 - Clean, Green and on the Scene
The Living Green Expo 2009
In May of 2007 I came across the Electric Auto Association at the LGE and decided to join the group. Last year, I had to trailer the Volt Vette to the big Expo since it was still weeks away from being drivable. Now, in 2009, I sport my “ev grin” as I drive my electric car on the freeway to the Living Green Expo.
Besides my car, the Minnesota EAA is displaying 3 other electric autos: a Ford Focus,

a Geo Metro, seen above,

and a 1966 MG.

But the real star of the show was a brand new Tesla electric sports car with a carbon fiber body and a $100,000 price tag.

The Tesla is one of the smallest sports cars around, while the Corvette is one of the largest, as you can see in the photo above.
I drove up beside the Tesla just long enough for Denis to take a shot of the two cars together. A beautiful sight!
The Minnesota Chapter had really grown in the last 2 years.
Next: New but smaller problems.
