How is development changing the face of the Twin Cities?

The Sierra Club's ninth annual Tour de Sprawl answers this question by combining a scenic bike ride with fun stops highlighting the best of community redevelopment & environmental protection in the Twin Cities.

Join us on Saturday, September 18th to enjoy a leisurely ride while exploring first hand how smart-growth developments, urban redevelopment and wonderfully preserved open spaces are making the Twin Cities a better place to live! The Sierra Club's ninth annual Tour de Sprawl is simply one of the most fun & entertaining events available to Sierra Club members and the environmental community.

It's not a race, not a conference, and not a lecture.

The Ride: All about fun!

The Tour is a bike ride in and around the Twin Cities with stops at some of the best smart-growth developments and beautifully preserved open spaces you will find anywhere!

The Tour de Sprawl is not a race; it's all about fun! The event is an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful ride and get an up-close look at the best environmental projects and development ideas in the region. We'll ride a beautiful route through St. Paul, North St. Paul, Maplewood, Oakdale and Lake Elmo with brief stops or a close-up look at a few of the great environmental preservation & smart growth projects in the area.

We even feed you & throw a party at the end!!
