Explore first hand the beauty of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway! Route highlights include:

A scenic 26 mile loop is being planned. Maps of the final route will be distributed at the event.

Distance, Pace, and Duration

This year's tour is 25 miles long, with moderately challenging hills. The ride is very leisurely paced and is not a race. Everyone will convene at a few rest stops along the way to enjoy views and hear from expert guest speakers about current land use issues. The ride will last around four to five hours.

The Tour runs rain or shine. All fees are non-refundable and confirmations will not be sent.

Registration begins at 9:15am on Saturday morning.

Note: You do not need to be a member of the Sierra Club to ride in the Tour de St. Croix.

Directions to Start/End Point

Oak Park Elementary School
6355 Osman Ave. N., Stillwater, MN

From Hwy 36:

  • Turn north at Osgood Ave. N.
  • Turn right at 63rd St.
  • Turn left at Osman Ave.
  • Turn right into school parking lot.

Unfortunately the Stillwater area does not have transit service on weekends.

What to bring

  • A well fitting bicycle helmet is required.
  • At least one water bottle is strongly recommended.
  • Your bike! The route will be on paved paths and streets, and may include some travel on crushed limestone bicycle trails.

  • Only materials that can be recycled or composted are used at this event.
  • All waste is separated.
  • All bottles, cans and paper are recycled.
  • All food scraps and non-recyclable paper are composted.
