Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park
We can walk the trails, check out the ducks, geese, birds and a great view up and down the Mississippi River from the dam. The trail has loops of varying distances.
From the Twin Cities, take I-94 North past I-694 to MN-252 which becomes MN-610 just before it crosses the river. Turn left onto West River Road, travel 1/2 mile to Russell Av. (MN-12) turn right, heading north on Russell about 3/4 mile to find the park entrance on the right. Park at the northernmost parking lot.
Lunch at the Olive Garden in Coon Rapids at 12:15pm.
